Cole and Grace

Overview

Cole & Grace is an original video series featuring AI-generated characters who explore deep topics like identity, belief, and human purpose. Designed as a digital missionary tool, the project uses AI tools for character rendering, voice synthesis, and video production. The goal is to create an engaging, faith-oriented narrative that resonates with online audiences. The series unfolds episodically, with each installment crafted to spark curiosity and provoke thought. As creator and developer, I oversaw the full creative and technical execution, integrating tools like ffmpeg, ElevenLabs, and custom animation pipelines.

Challenges

The challenge was to produce a visually engaging, thought-provoking series using entirely AI-based tools without compromising narrative quality or spiritual depth. This meant solving issues related to realism, pacing, audio-video sync, and maintaining a consistent tone and character identity across episodes. Another key challenge was building a sustainable production workflow for generating future episodes quickly and cost-effectively.

Solutions

I developed a scalable pipeline combining AI voice generation, video editing, and generative visuals. I leveraged tools such as ffmpeg for waveform visualizations, ElevenLabs for lifelike voice synthesis, and video editing tools to synchronize visuals, voice, music, and effects. Character assets and voice identities were locked to maintain continuity. The storytelling was structured with hooks, intros/outros, and thematic arcs that are easy to expand into seasons.

The Results

The initial episodes launched successfully, with consistent engagement and positive feedback on the uniqueness of the characters and spiritual depth. The video production pipeline is now repeatable, allowing for faster rollout of episodes. The series is also used in outreach and digital ministry contexts. The Cole & Grace project stands as a proof of concept for using AI to amplify faith-based storytelling in the digital age.
